The Budapest Travel Guide is written by Diego Fresno, an independent travel writer who has visited Budapest twice: once in December 2016, in the middle of the Christmas market season, and again in July 2024, at the height of summer. Those two trips are why the site can talk about the thermal baths in both winter and summer conditions instead of guessing.

The site exists because the guides that currently rank for Budapest either cover a handful of thermal baths in prose with no way to compare them side by side, or they are affiliate landing pages that never got scraped, verified or updated. Every fact on this site is checked against an official source, an operator's own site, or a live Viator listing, and the date it was last verified is shown on every page.
